When it comes to comparing industrial wet/dry vacuums, although horsepower rating is important it’s not the best measure of effectiveness. “Static Waterlift” ratings are a better way to compare vacuums as it measures the efficiency of the entire vacuum system including seals, hoses, motors and body. Static Waterlift is the height the vacuum can lift water straight up a two-inch diameter column. The higher the lift, the better the suction. Highly efficient, solidly built Snap-on vacuums can deliver a much higher Static Waterlift rating than inefficient systems with just high horsepower ratings.
