MEASURING ACCURACY
Example of Accuracy Determination for AC Current Measurement. Calculations for the measurement result: 30A
- the measurement accuracy of the YT-73091 meter for this range is: ±(2.5% + 5), resolution 0.1A
- Measurement error calculation formula: (measurement result x 2.5%) + 5 x resolution
- calculation: (30 x 2.5%) + 5 x 0.1 = 0.75 + 0.5 = 1.25A
- Result taking into account the measurement error for the indication 30A = 30 ± 1.25A*
- the result taking into account the measurement error for the AC voltage measurement indication: 235V = 235 ± 8.525V*
- the result taking into account the measurement error for the DC voltage measurement indication: 12V = 12 ± 0.106V
- The table with the resolution and accuracy for a given measurement can be found in the instruction manual.
BUILT-IN FUNCTIONS
- AUTO - automatic adjustment of the measurement range. When measuring unknown values with a meter with a manual range change using the knob, measurements should be made sequentially from the largest range to the range giving the most accurate result - otherwise you risk damaging the device. However, in the case of a multimeter with the AUTO function, it is enough to make one measurement and the meter will automatically find the optimal range. The meter starts up in AUTO mode by default
- RANGE - manual change of the measurement range. A useful function when checking many of the same components with a known value, e.g. a series of resistors. Manual range setting will reduce the time of such measurements significantly
- FUNC. - changing the measurement mode, e.g. from temperature measurement from °C to °F, switching the diode test to the circuit continuity test
- DATA HOLD - keeping the currently measured value on the display
- MAX HOLD - keeping the maximum measurement value on the display
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- LCD display, maximum displayed score: 1999
- screen backlight
- sound signal in the circuit continuity test for resistance below 50Ω
- Diode and continuity tests can be switched on separately
- clamps open up to 37mm and enable the measurement of a single cable with a maximum diameter of 37mm
- measuring probes and cover included
- design with overload protection
- meter turns off automatically
- low battery indicator
- power supply: two 1.5V (AAA) batteries
