BASIC MEASUREMENTS
- Alternating voltage measurement: A.C. 0-500V
- DC voltage measurement: D.C. 0-500V
- DC current measurement: D.C. 0-5A
- Resistance measurement: 0-2MΩ
- Diode test: IF 1mA, UR 3V
- Continuity test: 0-30Ω
- hFe transistor test: 0-1000, built-in test socket
- square wave generator: 5Vpp, 50Hz
- Example of Accuracy Determination for AC Voltage Measurement. Calculations for the measurement result: 235V
- the measurement accuracy of the YT-73080 meter for this range is: ±(2% + 10), resolution 1V
- Calculation of measurement error formula: (measurement result x 2%) + 10 x resolution
- calculation: (235 x 2%) + 10 x 1 = 4.7 + 10 = 14.7V
- The result taking into account the measurement error for the indication 235V = 235 ± 14.7V*
- the result taking into account the measurement error for the DC voltage measurement indication: 12V = 12 ± 0.146V
- The table with the resolution and accuracy for a given measurement can be found in the instruction manual.
BUILT-IN FUNCTIONS
- Waveform generator - setting the knob to generate a signal will cause the meter to generate a square wave with a peak-to-peak voltage of 5Vpp and a frequency of about 50Hz. The signal can be used in audio technology, e.g. in loudspeaker diagnostics
- DATA HOLD [H] - saving the currently measured value on the display
- LCD display, maximum displayed score: 1999
- sound signal in the circuit continuity test for resistance below 30Ω
- automatic switching of the diode test to the continuity test when the circuit resistance is below 30Ω (it is not possible to set the meter to diode test only)
- measuring probes included
- design with overload protection
- housing made of ABS plastic + so-called holster, i.e. a rubber casing protecting the meter against mechanical damage
- low battery indicator
- power supply: 9V(6F22) battery
When measuring unknown values with a meter with a manual range change using the knob, measurements should be made sequentially from the largest range to the range giving the most accurate result - otherwise you risk damaging the device.
