The YT-2861 voltage tester with an LCD display makes it possible to determine the presence of AC electric voltage and to detect AC voltage using the inductive method. The presence of voltage is indicated on the LCD display.
SAMPLE FUNCTIONS
- AC voltage detection by contact method: 12 - 250V
- AC voltage detection by inductive method
TECHNICAL DATA
- Total length: 130 mm
- Tip width: 3.0 mm
- Backlit LCD screen displays measurement results in the ranges up to 12, 36, 55, 110 and 220
CONTACT METHOD
Apply the tester tip to the live element. The voltage values will be shown on the display. The indicator will show the highest voltage range for the tested circuit and all lower ranges, e.g. when measuring voltage from a 230V household socket, the display will show [12, 36, 55, 110, 220], which means voltage above 220V.
INDUCTION METHOD
The method makes it possible to detect AC voltage in an insulated wire. To do this, place your finger on the ''Inductive test'' field and bring the tip to the insulated wire. The presence of a lightning symbol on the LCD indicates the presence of voltage. This method also allows for ''non-contact'' detection of a break in a live electrical wire. At the point of interruption, the tester will stop signaling the presence of voltage.
